Working with tricky fabric

We have been making bridesmaid dresses for the past couple of weeks!

The main fabric is a gorgeous aqua satin, the skirts will be then covered in a similar colour crystal organza, the final dress will be really swishy and fabulous.

The organza has caused a lot of problems when cutting out because it is so slippy and the pattern had to be cut on the bias. We had to pin the chiffon to a blanket to get the stability, even then some pieces were still incredibly out of shape!

Persistence paid off, and we have all pieces cut and ready to be pinned and tacked together.

We cannot show you the final dress yet as it still has other elements to be pieced together, and the wedding is a while away yet!
